Source of iceman DNA study goes AWOL

ABC HEADLINE: "Scientists crack ancient man’s DNA code" posted ABC news online 11/2/2010

ABC REPORTED: ABC News online reported on a “world first” in which a team of researchers, including Australian experts, mapped the entire genetic sequence of 4000 year old human remains, from a sample of hair from an Eskimo from the Saqqaq culture found in frozen ground in Greenland.

The COMPLAINT: While the ABC interviewed one of the authors of the study no mention is made of the source of the news which is an article published in the February 11, 2010 edition of the science journal Nature, available HERE .

OUTCOME: Pending

COMMENT: Not citing the source of this information breeches ABC editorial policy.
